Contributor to You’re On Mute: 13 Lessons for Women Frustrated with the Tech SectorÂ
About Jennifer
Jennifer Harris is the Founder and CEO of Technology Management Concepts (TMC), one of the most enduring Microsoft Solutions Partners and one of the only wholly woman-owned firms in the U.S. Dynamics ecosystem. With more than 30 years of experience in ERP strategy, consulting, and leadership, she has built TMC into a nationally recognized, award-winning company.
Jennifer co-founded TMC with her best friend, Brenda Diener, right after graduation. They moved to California, determined to succeed in an industry where women leaders were rare. Their partnership thrived on trust and resilience, and when Brenda passed away in 2011, Jennifer carried forward their shared vision, guiding TMC through grief and transformation with courage and determination.
Recognized by Inc. 5000 and the Los Angeles Business Journal as a leader of one of America’s fastest-growing and top women-owned businesses, Jennifer has created a company culture rooted in collaboration, innovation, and legacy. Her leadership is about more than technology — it’s about building enduring relationships, opportunities, and trust.

Jennifer's Chapter:
Kitchen Table Leadership: How to Build Your Own Table and Stop Waiting for a Seat
Â
Jennifer’s chapter is a deeply personal exploration of leadership, resilience, and legacy. She shares how TMC was born in a rented house laundry room, co-founded with Brenda Diener, and built on the strength of their trust and determination. When Brenda passed, Jennifer learned the true meaning of “kitchen table leadership” — the power of building a circle of support, both personal and professional, that sustains you through grief, growth, and reinvention.
From navigating imposter syndrome to learning to speak up about her own success, Jennifer describes how her leadership philosophy evolved. She weaves in lessons from mentors, peers, and her CEO group, Vistage, alongside reflections from Michelle Obama and Oprah on the importance of building your own table.
Her chapter culminates in the AI era, where Jennifer embraces disruption, psychological mindset shifts, and the challenge of leading across generations — including building an AI mindset diagnostic with her 92-year-old mother-in-law and her 32-year-old daughter. Her story shows that leadership isn’t about waiting for a seat at someone else’s table. It’s about creating your own, inviting others in, and leading with empathy, curiosity, and courage.

“Pull up a chair, there’s always room at my table; the only thing missing is your voice.”
